Hello, I'm Alice
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Paris, France.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn't in the long-range plan. Like many international moves, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of learning through experience. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Quiet Stone Flux
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in France.
What This Site Does And Does Not Do
This site is:
- Practical insights from living in France
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in France continues, as does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I will continue documenting what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Alice
